How to Play Liar's Dice
- Objective: Be the last player with dice remaining.
-
Setup:
- Each player starts with five dice.
- Dice are rolled and kept hidden from the other players.
-
Gameplay:
- Players take turns making bids or challenging the previous bid.
- A bid consists of a quantity and a face value (e.g., "3 x 4's").
- On your turn, you can:
- Increase the quantity (e.g., from "3 x 4's" to "4 x any face").
- Keep the quantity the same and increase the face value (e.g., from "3 x 4's" to "3 x 5's").
- Challenge the previous bid by calling "Liar" if you believe it is incorrect.
-
Challenging a Bid:
- All dice are revealed and the number of dice matching the bid face is counted.
- If the actual count matches or exceeds the bid: The challenger loses a die.
- If the actual count is less than the bid: The bidder loses a die.
- Elimination: Players are eliminated when they lose all their dice.
- Winning the Game: The last player with dice wins.
-
Additional Notes:
- Ones are not wildcards and are counted as their face value.
- Bids cannot be decreased in quantity.
